French infantry in the Revolution

My mate Michael Schwab sent me these photos of our painted figures over which I want to show you all of course.

My favorites are still the white coated ancient units in this period. What we now would need are skirmishing light infantry in the old green uniform to cover the whole variations of uniforms in the regular units:-)

Teutoburg forrest

I am sure Richard will be happy to see this post as we discussed last week that not much people order ancient figures at the moment.

My complete pipeline of wishes include 90% Napoleonics and just a few other figures.

Now Darek sent these photos of a German warrior for 9-16 AD, fighting the Roman invaders.

This figure is part of a series of the Teutoburg forest on which he is working.
But mark, these figures are not for the shop.

If you want Darek sculpt for you ancient figures, you can contact him at hamilkar216@interia.pl

Washita River

some weeks ago I showed Massimo's masters for a friend. Now the figures are painted for a nice little vignette.

And let's add a photo of Massimo's set Custers last stand - avaiable from Waterloo1815

Bengal lancers

And we are going forward fast. With several sculptors working for our group we nearly have a new set of figures each week.

In the past Massimo sculpted for me a Bengal lancer for the second Afghan war which we gave away as a bonus for bigger orders.

Now after more than two years I put this figure back and asked Massimo to complete me a set of them. As colonial warfare is a fascinating subject for me such campaigns like the 2nd Afghan war, the Boxer Rebellion and Egypt 1882 are still on the focus for future diorama projects.

BTW, this years project will be Ulundi 1879. The diorama will be on display at the Dioramica in November.  Ok, for this I need other lancers...

See here now the complete set he made for me. You can never have enough of them:-)
And waiting figures in the backround is what I need for the bigger dioramas.

Some more Ming Chinese

Sometimes when I get new photos from Leo or Thomas I think "Why again these guys"...

On the other hand I admire Thomas for his zeal to cover the whole Ming army of the late 16th century.

This time we have Ming Imperial Guard infantry. These were campaign troops fighting the Japanese in Korea, while the other Guards I showed before are the Emperors own, guarding the palace or joining the Emperor when he himself was on campaign.

So let's call these guys here the Young Guard:-)

I like the poses.

This impressive "building" was sold for 740 Euros at Ebay Germany last week. Great stuff!!
